I Believe in the Good Things Coming: 2018

New year. New experiences. New opportunities.

2017 was full of transitions for me.

I transition as smooth as a fart in church.

But once I wrapped my head around my goals.

What do I really want?

I watched the Mel Robbins TED talk more times than i’d like to admit, but here I go.

What is that I want?

I want to learn from people I look up to. I want to educate myself so that I can finally do what it is i’m here to do. I need to put myself in environments that people fuel me to grow.

So hello Elephant Journal!

About Elephant:

“We’re dedicated to sharing the good life beyond the choir, and to all those who didn’t yet know they give a care about living a good, fun life that’s good for others, and our planet. The mindful life is about yoga, organics, sustainability, conscious consumerism, enlightened education, the contemplative arts, adventure, bicycling, family…everything. But mostly it’s about this present moment, right here, right now, and how we can best be of benefit, and have a good time doing so.”

From January to May 2018 I’ll be doing a mentorship through Elephant Journal Online Magazine.

Learning from people you admire : CHECK.

So i’m psyched to enrich my brain and further my dreams.

But then I turn and say okay, now how do I enrich my kids lives and further their happiness, fun, growth, learning, health, and overall development?

Well, I’m happy to say that I accepted the Day Camp Director position at Camp Windgate Kirkland for the Summer.

Therefore, the homies get to go to camp. Spend days swimming with friends, glueing their fingers together, and stalking small bugs. Just like it should be.

I’m more excited than a 31 year old woman should be to go to camp.

Get a job that enhances my entire families life: CHECK.

Now don’t you go forgetting that while all this good is going on, I will be using everything I learn and putting it back into my Yoga classes.

Man, I love teaching yoga. Helping people thrive in their life vs. merely surviving.

So ALWAYS look for me down at Bikram Yoga Cape Cod.

Especially considering it is ridiculously cold in New England. You mine as well come hang out with me in the hot yoga room.

I’ll work on becoming the best teacher I can be, you will work your body and mind. Relieve your stress and hang out with my favorite community of smiling, happy, awesome faces.

Working hard at a job a LOVE: Check.

2018 is all about putting myself out there.

Asking people to teach me. Listening to constructive criticism with an open mind. Surrounding my family with people who want to make our community better.

Therefore, making our world better.

Ripple effect baby.

Namaste Mother Truckers.
